Janice Ann (Stevens) O’Connor, 85, of Lincoln, passed away March 20, 2025. She was born January 8, 1940 to Wayne Franklin and Gertrude Louise (Wederski) Stevens. Janice was the 2nd child of 15.
Janice met her husband, Raymond Clyde O’Connor at playmor Dance Hall. Later they married on March 4, 1959 in Raymond, Nebraska. Together they had 4 children: Wayne, Donald, Raymond, Jr., and Debra O’Connor.
Janice worked at Valentino’s Pizza doing salad prep for 45 plus years. Her grandchildren knew her as the “Pizza Grandma”. She loved her family and grandchildren very much.
She is joined in heaven by her husband, Raymond O’Connor, granddaughter, Jennifer Squires, parents, Wayne and Gertrude Stevens, sisters, Ruth King, Elva Price, Tammy Stevens, Mary Crone, and Mildred Wright, brothers, Sye Stevens and Murrell Stevens, brothers-in-law, Charles Pickett, Silas Price, Larry Crone and William Wright, along with her beloved cat, Tiger.
She is survived by her children, Wayne (Manlyn) O’Connor, of Lincoln, NE, Donald (Susan) O’Connor, of Hickman, NE, Junior (Connie) O’Connor, of Lincoln, NE, and Debra O’Connor, of Lincoln, NE; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins and friends. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Wayne “Earl” Stevens, of Georgia, John and Lynette Stevens, of Ohio, Kathy Stevens, of Martell, NE, Bill King, of Missouri, Sherry Stevens, of Arizona, Betty and Don Minor, of Georgia, Bonnie Vaughn, of North Carolina, Helen Matson, of Oklahoma, and Laura Brogan, of KS.
A Graveside Service will be held 10:00 am Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at Wyuka Cemetery, 3600 O Street, Lincoln, NE.
