Janet Kay Wieting

October 9, 1936 - November 15, 2023

Janet Kay Wieting, 87, of Lincoln passed away November 15, 2023. Born October 9, 1936, in Lincoln, NE to Jacob and Gladys (Carlson) Lebsack.

Janet retired in 1997, after 37 years as a secretary/receptionist for Dr. Mark Crawford. She was a member of the Sheridan Lutheran Church, and B.P.O. DOES #4. Janet volunteered for Meals-On-Wheels and the Capital Humane Society. She enjoyed playing bridge.

Family members include her son Scott Isherwood, Lincoln; daughters Debora (Jeff) Pullen, Meadow Vista, CA and Denise (Mitch) Pullen, Central City; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Virgil, sister Betty Miller, and brother Gayle Lebsack.

Janet’s family would like to thank the staff at AsceraCare and the Hospice Unit at Bryan West Hospital for their compassionate care.

Memorial service: 11:00 Wednesday (12/13) at Roper and Sons Midtown Chapel, 4300 ’O’ Street.
