Helen Louise Pejsar

October 29, 1927 - August 25, 2022

Helen Louise Pejsar, 94 of Lincoln Nebraska passed away on August 25, 2022 at Southlake Village Rehabilitation and Care Center, Lincoln, NE. She was born on October 29, 1927, the daughter of Thomas and Blanche (Harmon) Chinnock of DeWitt, Nebraska.

Helen graduated from DeWitt High School in 1945 and attended the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, she graduated in 1949 with a Bachelor’s degree in Home Economics, Clothing and Textiles. She married Gordon Pejsar in 1949 and they raised three boys; Steven Gregg & Douglas.

She taught kindergarten at Clinton Elementary School, Lincoln, NE. She was a member of the PEO, a long time member of Christ United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and was a former President of the National Dental Auxiliary.

Left to cherish her memory are her three children, Dr. Steven Pejsar (Connie) of Lincoln, NE, Gregg Pejsar of Omaha, NE, Douglas Pejsar (Dawn) of Glendale CA, Brother Robert Chinnock of Alliance NE. Grand Children Benjamin Pejsar of Lincoln, NE, Rachel Pejsar Snelling, Lincoln,NE, Jessica Pejsar (Phil) of Santa Barbara, CA, Hannah Pejsar of Los Angeles, CA. Three great Grand Children, Grant Snelling, Hanley Snelling and Brock Snelling all of Lincoln, NE and special family members, Ramona Hetrick (Lee) of Lincoln, NE and numerous nieces nephews and friends.

Preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Gordon Pejsar, her parents Thomas & Blanche Chinnock, brother, Thomas Chinnock, Jr., Sisters, Eleanor Klostermeier, Maxine Pierson, Mae Skrdla and infant brother John Chinnock.

A celebration of Helen’s life will be held on Monday, September 12, 2022 at 11:00 am at Christ United Methodist Church, 4530 A. Street, Lincoln, NE.

A special thank you for the care provided by Southlake Village Rehabilitation and Care Center and Horisun Hospice.
