Floyd ”Louie” Nicholas Lenz, 85, of Lincoln, NE, died Thursday (1-3-13). Born (12-6-27) in Lismore, MN to Aloysius and Mary (Kemper) Lenz. U. S. Army Air Force Veteran served during WWII, Korean and Vietnam Wars. Ret. 1987 after 18 years as a postal clerk. Member and Lector at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church for 38 years. He also was a member of the American Legion Post #3, Moose Lodge #175, Kings Men, Mail Handlers Union, life member of Air Force Sergeant’s Association and DAV.
Survived by his sons, Daryl (Linda) Lenz, Lincoln, NE, Allen Lenz, Marana, AZ; daughters, Connie (Edward) Weisser, Lincoln, NE; Sister Mary Bernadette, Linden, VA; 13 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brothers, Edward, and Earl Lenz, Lismore, MN. Preceded in death by parents, wife Shirley (Kern) Lenz, son Bruce, 3 brothers, 4 sisters.
Rosary: 7:00 pm Sunday (1-6-13) at Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ St., Lincoln.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 am Monday (1-7-13) at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 6126 Morrill, Lincoln, NE with Father Troy Schweiger officiating.
