Evelyn F. Coufal, 95, of Lincoln died 7-15-15. Born 11-27-19 to Raymond and Christina (Tvrs) Duff in Broken Bow, NE. Evelyn worked many years at UNL in the Foods and Nutrition Dept. Married Richard Burns April 7, 1937 and three children were born, Carroll Lee Burns and Richard Ray Burns and a daughter lost at birth. She was an avid Bible reader and knew the Lord.
Survived by son, Richard Ray “Dick” (Anne) Burns, son-in-law, John S. Jones, all of Lincoln; 7 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Juanita Kirmidjan; brother, Raymond Duff. Preceded in death by parents; daughter, Carroll; infant daughter; 3 sisters and 4 brothers.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday (7-18-15) Roper and Sons, 4300 ‘O’ St. with Rev. Dennis Hanneman officiating.
Visitation: 2-8 p.m. Friday, funeral home.
She received loving, compassionate care in her final days through Tabitha Hospice Care and The Ambassador.
