Edward E. “Eddie” Sexton, Jr., 91, Lincoln, passed away October 12, 2017. Born February 16, 1926 in Lincoln, NE to Edward E. and Moree (Beetem) Sexton, Sr. Married Marian Elaine Gould on August 5, 1949 at First Presbyterian Church in Lincoln. Eddie was a U.S. Postal letter carrier for 35+ years. Member of First Presbyterian Church, American Legion Post #3, Sesostris Shrine, Scottish Rite, George Washington Lodge #250 and the US Department of Veteran’s Affairs. Eddie loved to bowl, golf and spending time at Johnson Lake; his military service included time in the American Merchant Marines and the U.S. Army. He and his wife have had season tickets to Nebraska Football games since 1952.
Family members include his wife, Marian; nieces & nephews, Susie, Diane, Leonard “Butch”, Carol, Ronald, Cindy, Robert, Connie and Patty. Preceded in death by brother, Robert and parents.
Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Monday (10-16-17) Roper & Sons Funeral Home 4300 O Street. Visitation one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
