Edna was christened on August 2, 1925, by Rev. Kroening in the St. John’s Lutheran Church south of Lincoln, KS and was confirmed there on April 2, 1939.
Edna married Raymond Bernard Loveless on December 17, 1949, in Hastings, NE, and with this union three children were born: Jason Ray, Susan Steinborn, and John Matthew, and one adopted son Robert Dean.
Edna was a Sunday School teacher and active in the Ladies Guild of Trinity Lutheran Church in Salina, KS. She also served as a den mother, den leader coach, record keeper to the Boy Scouts of America, and den leader trainer for 13 years. Edna walked on various charitable Neighborhood walks, and helped the Labor Union get out the vote campaign.
Since 1945, Edna worked several jobs including both Country Clubs in Salina and Wyatt Manufacturing.
Edna was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary where she held a chair for many years. Also, she held a chair at Women of the Moose, and worked as the popcorn-cloakroom chairman.
Family members include her daughter Susan Steinborn and adopted son Robert Dean Loveless; 7 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents, siblings, former husband Raymond, sons Jason and John, and 2 grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at 12:00 pm Friday, September 22, 2023, at Roper and Sons Midtown Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, September 22, 2023, Roper and Sons Midtown Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street.
Memorials may be given to the family.
