Dr. Robert C. Brockley was born Jan. 28th, 1927, to Ole & Margaret Brockley in Valentine, Nebraska. After high school he entered the naval academy. Following his service he attended Wesleyan University where he met his loving wife Dona. He then attended the Kansas City Art Institute, followed by the University of Nebraska College of Dentistry and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1956. He enjoyed the many, many patients in his practice of 37 years.
He was a Lifetime Member of the Methodist Church, joining Saint Paul United Methodist Church in Lincoln in 1957. He taught Sunday school, sang in the choir, and greeted for many years. He was past President of the Lincoln District Dental Association and of the College of Dentistry Alumni Association. His hobbies included oil painting, sculpting, dancing, the Saint Paul Bridge Club, and world travel.
Survivors are his wife Dona of 68 years, sons & daughters-in-law Robert Jr. (Gloria), Kevin (Nancy), Brothers Ross (Gina) of Valentine, NE, George (Jan) of Lincoln, NE, and William Thomas (special friend Charlotte) of Nebraska City, NE. Sister-in-law Marguerite Streeter of Louisville, NE. And many, many close nieces and nephews, countless friends, and very special, wonderful neighbors.
He passed away November 8, 2015 at the age of 88 with his loving family at his side.
