Dorothy lived at the Waterford and was a friend and shared a dining table with my mom for the 5 years my mother resided there. She had the most positive attitude and everyday, my mom and Dorothy dressed as if they were going to a wedding. Dorothy never looked or acted her age. Unfortunately, my mom passed in July of 2020 and I haven’t been to the Waterford since then. I will always remember Dorothy and know she is now “Resting with Angels”. Vicky Smith

Great Aunt Dorothy was truly a gem. Her memory and sense of humor were always so sharp! I cherish her shared stories of her childhood and family in MT and NE. I so appreciate the time and effort she spent even with extended family who visited and her knowledge of the ever growing Jones family tree! Sending love to her family and friends who will be celebrating her life on Saturday.

Please accept our condolences. I remember her with fond memories, as she was my teacher. I enjoyed seeing her at our class reunions. What a wonderful legacy she left. Lyle Maxson

Aunt Dorothy was one of the strongest most loving human beings I have ever met. She came from a family of very strong loving people. She is the last of her generation and she endured the loss of a husband and children before she died but yet lived to 105! When my first grandson was a baby her sister, Eleanor my Grandmother had already passed away. My mother was still alive and I called Aunt Dorothy and asked her if we could visit her and get a 5 generation picture. Of course she said yes and I treasure that photo. We are all so fortunate to have been born into this fabulous family. She was a wonderful Mother, a hard working woman, a talented musician, beautiful singer, my Grandmothers sister and one of my favorite Aunts. Our family was very fortunate to have her in our lives.

Dorothy was a wonderful presence at Star and any time I would run into her out and about in the days past. She always sang the memorial song at Star, and it will always bring me fond memories of her…. I come to the garden alone While the dew is still on the roses And the voice I hear falling on my ear The Son of God discloses And He walks with me and He talks with me And He tells me I am His own And the joy we share as we tarry there None other has ever known He speaks and the sound of His voice Is so sweet the birds hush their singing And the melody that He gave to me Within my heart is ringing And He walks with me and He talks with me And He tells me I am His own And the joy we share as we tarry there None other has ever known Oh the joy we share as we tarry there None other has ever known
