Obituary

Dorothy June Pearce

March 17, 1930 - October 6, 2022

Dorothy June Pearce
March 17, 1930 – October 6, 2022
Dorothy passed away peacefully at home with her loved ones at her side. Her pain has ended and she has gone to see her brother Carl Knopf, Jr., parents, Carl and Mollie Knopf and many friends who’ve passed before her.

She enjoyed 92 years of live and 70 years of marriage to Richard. She graduated high school from Northeast, worked at Elgin Watch Company, Flowers by Mr. J, and East High School cafeteria. One of her most beloved place was Poudre Canyon, Colorado where they spent many summers camping at Sleeping Elephant Campground. She was a loving and devoted wife to her husband, a caring loving mom to her children, Greg and Judy, a mother-in-law to Teresa and Jerry, a grandmother to Missi and Stacey, a grandmother-in-law to Brian, and a great grandmother to Evan and Dalton, an aunt to Mark, Beth, Brad, Tom, Tyler, John, Jamie, Kim, Steve, Amy, Dave, Chris, and Jenny. She cared for many animals including cats, Spooky, Trudy, and Abbie. She was kind and an inspiration to everyone. Rest in peace wife, mom, grandma, great grandma, aunt and friend.
We will miss you forever.

Got to know Dorothy and Richard through my participation in the stroke and prostate cancer support groups. I helped her out about 5 years ago or so to be with Dick while she went to lunch with a friend. She was always cheery and outgoing. I think I ran into her w/in the past year and now wished I had visited more. She sure held her age well. Feel for Dick now w/o her. Condolences to the whole family as you help dad carry on.

Sad to hear of Dorothy’s passing. I met them at Stroke camp and enjoyed all the years of fun and laughter we had on those weekends. She will truly be missed by all.
