Dorothy C. Schmidt, 84, of Lincoln, died Monday, August 6, 2012. Born February 9, 1928 in Utica, Nebraska to Alfred Otto and Elsie Gundaheld (Brown) Luth. Ret. Secretary/Homemaker. Member of First Lutheran Church. Enjoyed gardening and flowers.
Family members include her husband Wilmer; son Daryl and wife Diane, of Wichita, KS; grandchildren Nolan and Nina; sister-in-law Wilma Luth; brother-in-law Les and wife Dolores Schmidt. Preceded in death by parents, sister Marie and husband Scott Gould, brother Leroy and wife Ada Luth, brother Eugene Luth and brother-in-law Alvin Schmidt.
Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 11, 2012 at First Lutheran Church, 1551 South 70th Street with Pastor Aaron Erdley officiating. Burial at a later date.
Memorials to the church for future designation.
Visitation: 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Friday at Roper and Sons, 4300 ‘O’ Street.
