Donna F. Alesio (Stoneman), 66, of Lincoln, passed away peacefully at home and surrounded by family on January 24th, 2013, after a ten year battle with Pick’s Dementia. Born May 29, 1946, to Lyle F. and Margaret Stoneman (Brown). Beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, she devoted her time and energy to her family. She believed in, and advocated for causes such as the National Alliance on Mental Illness, and La Leche League. She loved to travel.
Preceded in death by her parents, Lyle F. and Margaret Stoneman. Survived and greatly missed by her husband of 47 years, Mike, daughters Ann Alesio (Mike Keeling), Amy Alesio, Michelle Jenkins (Dan), Nicole Alesio (Codah Gatewood); Sons Ted Alesio and Matt Alesio (Angela). Donna had seven grandchildren: Isaac Flowerday, Rosa Guerra, Olivia and Hannah Jenkins, Josephine and Michael Alesio, Killian Gatewood. Sisters: Adrea Mason and Nadine Stoneman. Sister-in-law Rosemary VanCleaf (Alesio), brother-in-law Tommy Alesio (Vena). Nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Donna’s life will be at noon, Thursday, January 31, 2013. at the Lincoln Station Great Hall, 201 North 7th. No visitation/cremation.
