Donald Grieser passed away on October 8, 2019, at The Woodlands Memory Care in Lincoln, Nebraska. He was born on August 17, 1939, in Adams, Nebraska to Buck and Vi Grieser. He graduated from Adams High in 1957 and married his high school sweetheart, Patty Fritz, in 1959. They have two children, Russell and Cheryl.
Don joined the US Army in 1959 and served with the Army Security Agency until his discharge in 1962. After his discharge from the Army, he joined the Nebraska State Patrol, where he served for 30 years and retired in 1992 as Captain of the Air Wing Division. He especially enjoyed flying the helicopter.
He enjoyed his family, his dog Rudy, riding his motorcycle, working in his yard, listening to music, and dancing.
Survivors include his wife Pat; son Russell (Laura) Grieser; daughter Cheryl Grieser; grandchildren Abby (Josh) Lydic, Mallory Grieser, Joshua Freeman, and Elizabeth Freeman; sister Dianne Tricoglou.
