Donald Edward Langdon

August 20, 1930 - May 24, 2013

Donald Edward Langdon, 82, of Round Rock, TX, died (5-24-13). Born (8-20-30) in Flagler, CO to Charles William and Julia (McMahan) Langdon. U. S. Navy Korean War Veteran. Graduate of the University of Nebraska Lincoln. Donald was the former head gymnastics coach at Hastings High School and Mankato State College. He was an assistant gymnastics coach and physical education instructor at the University of Nebraska Lincoln.

He worked for the Job Corps; Director of Building and Trades; A.M.F.; Director of Services and Sales for Brennen Window Treatments; General Manager of Hunter Douglas, Canada Office of Toronto; Security for University of Kansas Museum and Arts in Lawrence, KS. Donald served as District Governor for Kiwanis and Vice President of the Elks Club in Durango, CO. He was a member of the American Legion Club in Fairmont, NE for almost 49 years.

Donald is survived by his daughters, R. Candy Turco, Hutto, TX, Brenda Dreyer, Austin, TX; son-in-law, Brian Dreyer, Austin, TX; grandchildren, Thomas Turco, Austin, TX, Carrie Czajkowski, Hutto, TX, Rebecca Turco, Boston, MA, Danielle Berryann, West Virginia, Rachel Dreyer, Austin, TX; great-granddaughter, Adeline Rollins Turco, Austin, TX. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Richard Langdon.

Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m. Wednesday (5-29-13) Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.

Memorials to family for future designation. One hour prior to service time.
