Don L. Squires, 78, of Lincoln, passed away unexpectedly Monday (2-18-13). Born (9-11-34) in Lincoln, NE to Harry and Myna (Wollen) Squires. Married on June 5, 1954 to Nancy McEntarffer. At the age of 16, Don worked as a butcher for Bethany IGA, then at Kings Food Host for 13 ½ years. In February 1975 Don began working for Schneiber/Cash-Wa retiring in March of 2011 He was a former member of George Washington Lodge #250, A.F. &A.M.
Survived by wife, Nancy; daughters, Deborah (Lloyd) Emmons, Fremont, NE, Myna (Craig) Bartels, Beverly (James) Villines, all of Lincoln, NE; 12 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; brother, Cliff Squires. Preceded in death by parents, sister, Karen, grandson, David.
A public graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday (2-23-13) at Fairview Cemetery, 84th & Adams, followed by a Memorial Service at 3:30 p.m. at Roper and Sons, 4300 ‘O’ St.
Memorials to donor’s choice. No visitation/cremation.
