Debra Rodaway

Debra Marie Rodaway, 65, Lincoln, passed away July 5, 2017 at BryanLGH Medical Center East. She was born on March 14, 1952 in Superior, Nebraska, the daughter of Danny and Marie (Kusak) Stierwalt. She married Keith Rodaway on September 9, 1972 in Fremont, NE. Debra graduated from Fremont High School 1970. She worked over 40 years, starting in the Department of Agronomy at UNL before moving to the UNMC College of Dentistry. Debra was a valued member of the College of Dentistry Dean’s Office team. Debra had many talents and enjoyed interactions with alums.

Debra cherished time with her family, especially her grandchildren, watching them play sports, celebrating special events and traveling.

She is survived by her husband, children, Jason (Lori) Rodaway, St. Louis, MO, Brian Rodaway, Brad (Rebecca) Rodaway; daughter-in-law, Kelley Oligmueller; grandchildren, Carly, Brayden, Trenten, Turner, Rory, Larson and Reese; all of Lincoln. Preceded in death by her parents and brother Steven Stierwalt.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Thursday, July 13th at 3:00 p.m. at Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street.

No visitation.

Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to the University of Nebraska Foundation c/o UNMC College of Dentistry or in memory of Debra Rodaway.
