Our families have known each other forever. Dave and Cathy are my parents neighbors. They are first class people. After my dad passed Dave would stop and check in on my my mom. Sometimes delivering amazing cinnamon rolls that he had baked. We will all miss Dave

I remember going to school at Malcolm with the Jakoubek family, esp Dave and Julie. Sorry for your loss.

Went to Sunday School with both Dave and Kathy. Went to high school with Dave. His humor was not always appropriate but so darn funny. He and his “Kat” were definitely soul mates.

Dave was quite the character! I first met Dave and Kathy through a mutual friend, Don Sabata. This was decades ago! We were all in our teens, barely old enough to drive. As a matter of fact, I don’t think Kathy was old enough to drive! Anyway, we remained friends for a long time and many memories are coming back to me. Dave nearly always had a smile or a smirk on his face and ready to tell a story or listen to one.

So many memories, it’s hard to narrow them down. He loved to spoil all his “girls” at softball and basketball tournaments (all 10+ including Shorty). He also loved to joke about all the “Dave’s” proclaiming he was Crazy Dave but ultimately he was and will always be Grandpa Dave. We’ll miss his orneriness. Hugs to all of his loved ones. Rest in peace sweet friend.
