Darrell D. Kennell

February 27, 1948 - September 8, 2013

Darrell D. Kennell, 65, of Lincoln, died Sunday (9-8-13) in Omaha. Born (2-27-48) in Humboldt, NE to Eugene Junior and Josephine (Ward) Kennell. Owner, Darrell’s Auto Body. U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran served in Plague and Doc Pho Vietnam. Member of Capitol City Christian Church and the American Legion Post #3. Darrell was a God fearing Christian. He loved animals and helping other people.

Family members include his wife, Shelley; sons, Troy Smith, Panama City, FL, Andres Alt, Lincoln, Larry and Lee Kennell, Iowa; daughters, Katanna Alt, Lincoln, Lynette Earl, Nebraska City, Lisa (Elliott) McClanahan, MO, Laura (Dennis) Ehlers, Nebraska City; numerous grandchildren; one great granddaughter; sisters, Linda (Dennis) Rector and Kathy Cash, all of Lincoln; sister-in-law, Darlene Chin, Davey; nieces and nephews, Chrissy (Chris) Hier, Billie Jo (Shane) Leighton, Joshua and Jeremy Kennell, all of Lincoln; numerous relatives and friends. Preceded in death by parents; infant son; brothers, David and Allen Kennell and mother-in-law.

Funeral Service: 10:30 am Thursday (9-12-13) Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street with Rev. Ray Boeche officiating.

Memorials to the family. Family will greet friends from 6-8 pm Wednesday and one hour prior to service time at Roper and Sons.
