Darla Jean Grow

February 13, 1948 - July 8, 2021

Darla Jean Grow

Darla Jean Grow, 73, of Lincoln passed away July 8, 2021.

Darla was most proud of her work for Kelly Services Staffing Company for a number of years, climbing her way up to manager of both the Omaha and Lincoln branches. She was a fierce and professional force in the temp staffing industry for a number of years, both by providing would-be applicants the tools and skills necessary to learn to better their careers, and by mentoring her fellow employees in their pursuits in the field of Human Resources and Development. Her retirement consisted of enjoying travels with her husband, TJ, on their adventures to different wine regions from Napa to Bordeaux, and coming home to good friends, good family, and the company of a cat or two.

Born February 13, 1948, in Jefferson, IA to Eldon “Pink” and Esther (Noack) Grow.

Family members include her son Garrett Matuska, Lincoln; sister Vickie (Jim) Striegel, Delta, IA; 2 nieces and 2 nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents, and husband Tom “T.J.” Johnson.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
