Dale E. Retzlaff, 89, of Walton, died Wednesday (10-5-11) in Lincoln. Born (11-15-21) as a 4th generation Retzlaff on the family farm in Walton, Nebraska, to Ernest and Ethel (Luther) Retzlaff. Retired Farmer. Member: Messiah Lutheran Church. Enjoyed farming, hunting, being outdoors and raising shorthorn cattle. An avid Husker fan. Loved his family, kids, grandkids and great grandkids.
Family members include daughters, sons-in-law: Marleen and Bryan Rickertsen, Lincoln, Cheryl and Douglas Johnson, Walton, Karen and John Miller, Lincoln; grandchildren, spouses: Lyn and Neil Wineman, Walton, Beth and Noal Curley, Orlando, FL, Michael and Dana Lockee, Jr., Omaha, Haze and Brandon Holtorf, Walton; great grandchildren: Erin, Scott and Haley Wineman, Samuel and Ryan Curley, Michael III and Izek Lockee, Henry Holtorf; brother: Merle Retzlaff, Walton; sisters, brother-in-law: Doris and Don Bauman, Gothenburg, Donna Jahde, Omaha; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by parents, wife Rhoda and son Gary.
Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Monday (10-10-11) Messiah Lutheran Church, 1800 South 84th. Pastor John Kunze, officiating. Burial in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, 162nd & Old Cheney, Walton, NE.
