Obituary

Curtis Paul Shettlesworth

July 15, 1950 - October 29, 2022

Curtis Paul Shettlesworth, 72, of Lincoln passed away October 29, 2022, in the comfort of his home. Born July 15, 1950, in Scotia, California, to Harold (Lee) and Lois (Fitzgerald) Shettlesworth.

Curt is survived by his wife Maria Shettlesworth, daughters Jennifer Burkhart and Jessica Shettlesworth, sons Jeremiah Shettlesworth, Joe Shettlesworth, Jedediah Shettlesworth, and Joaquin Shettlesworth, brothers Tim Shettlesworth, Jeff Shettlesworth, and Nate Shettlesworth, sisters Pauline Grubbs (Shettlesworth) and Deedra Bringman (Shettlesworth), ten grandchildren, one great grandchild, and many more family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Lois Hines-Vrismo (Fitzgerald), father Harold (Lee) Shettlesworth, sister Patti Cannoy, and brother Rod Shettlesworth.

Everyone who knew Curt knew his kind and forgiving heart. Family meant everything to Curt, and there was nothing he enjoyed more than spending time with his large family, with the exception of maybe poker. Curt had an unwavering commitment to his family and loved the Shettlesworth family reunions where he was able to connect with many siblings, children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins from his large and spread out family. He will be missed by many.

Curt was my favorite male cousin growing up. We were the same age and in the same grade. He was kind and thoughtful and I loved him. Sad our adult lives seemed to take us in so many different directions. The Shettlesworth’s family was very close due to our beautiful Grandma Lou and Her famous yearly birthday family gatherings.
