Clarence W. Busboom, 83, of Lincoln, passed away August 24, 2015. He was born in Emerald, Nebraska on October 5, 1931 to Edward H. and Clara Busboom. He married Esther Niles on December 8, 1951. They shared 63 years of happiness together. Clarence served in the U. S. air Force during the Korean War from 1950-1953. He worked at American Stores packing plant for 25 years, and retired from Lincolnland Printing in 1996. He was a longtime member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church. Clarence was very involved with the American Legion Post #3 as a permanent member and was involved in the 40 & 8 Organization holding both state and national offices, as well as a permanent member of the D.A.V. Chapter #7.
Clarence is survived by wife Esther; daughters, Diane (Fred) Cragie, Lorie (Victor) Gayed; grandchildren, Michelle (Ben) Reicks, Jennifer (Logan) Russell, Nicole (Jason) Case, and Jason Gayed (fiancé Makaylee Stutzman), and 9 great-grandchildren and many cousins. Clarence was preceded in death by his parents.
It’s Clarence’s wish to be cremated and have a memorial service at Roper and Sons on Saturday, August 29th at 1:00 p.m. Please join us after the memorial service for a “Celebration of Life” at Clarence’s daughter, Lorie Gayed’s house, 2570 North 83rd St. in Lincoln.
Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to Clarence’s great-granddaughter (Alaina Case) to help with her on-going medical expenses. “The Alaina Case Fund”, Union Bank and Trust Co.
