Cecil G. Walker, 85, Lincoln, died Monday (9-20-10). Born (9-14-25) in Lincoln, Nebraska to Roy D. and Myrtle B. (Corbin) Walker. WWII U.S. Navy Veteran serving in the Pacific Theatre aboard the USS Bristol “The Mighty Bee”. Member: First-Plymouth Congregational Church, American Legion Post #3, lifelong Republican. Has been in the commercial plumbing, heating and air-conditioning business for over 60 years, most recently with Lincoln Winnelson.
Family members include wife: Carol; daughters, sons-in-law: Linda Walker Gardels (David), Omaha, Julie J. Harper (Rollin), Adrienne C. Dickson (IV); son, daughter-in-law: Bradley Walker (Kimberly), all of Lincoln; 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brother, sister-in-law: Lewis J. Walker (Akemi), Coupeville, WA; nephews.
Life Celebration: 3:00 p.m. Thursday (9-23-10) First-Plymouth Congregational Church, 2000 ‘D’ Street. Rev. Dr. James Keck officiating. Prior private burial with military honors.
