Carol J Snyder passed peacefully on March 26, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. She was born 78 years ago in Council Bluffs, IA to Lawrence and Leoda (Gewecke) Doty.
Carol graduated from Lincoln High School in 1964 and Bryan Nursing School in 1967. She touched many lives through the years as an OBGYN registered nurse, a volunteer for Waverly’s Rescue Squad, and later as a nurse at the Community Blood Bank in Lincoln.
Left to cherish her memory are her partner of 23 years, Bud Turner; daughters, Leigh Ann Miller (Dave) and Jennifer Graham (Andy); grandchildren, Matthew, Chance, and Faith; and her dear sister Jan Gaber (Terry). Carol was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Larry Snyder.
A celebration of Carol’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 16, 2025, at Roper and Sons Waverly Chapel, 10851 North 148th Street with a reception to follow. As a reflection of Carol’s vibrant personality, the family requests colorful spring attire.
Those wishing to make a contribution in Carol’s memory are encouraged to consider the Capital Humane Society or Nebraska No Kill Canine Rescue in honor of all of the pets she has loved through the years.
