Carol Elaine Mohr, 98, of Lincoln, passed away October 11, 2019. Born August 10, 1921 in Lincoln, NE to Levi and Crystal (Densberger) Sevier. Carol was the third of four children.
Carol was a lifelong resident of Lincoln and attended College View High School, where she held the high jump record. She worked several jobs over the years; Veterans administration, post office, and a nurse aide in the nursery at the old Saint Elizabeth Hospital on South Street. Her last job was the administrative assistant to several principals at Eastridge Elementary school over 22 years. Carol retired in 1988. She was a faithful member of Southern Heights Presbyterian Church. Carol was a very altruistic person, volunteering her time and energy for others. She received the Governor’s award for volunteering over 10,000 hours. Her love of sports was voracious. She watched every game, every sporting event, and every re-run she could find. Every Saturday, during football season, she donned her Husker red and “watched her boys play ball”. Carol loved her family, her friends & neighbors, and her chocolate, in that order. She enjoyed as much as she gave, and she will be missed.
Family members include her daughter Sue Gabriel, (Duane) Lincoln; son Randy (Julie) Mohr, Smithville, MO; 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews.
