Calvin George Melson, 87, Lincoln, died Wednesday (1-9-13). Born (11-6-25) in College View to George Dewey and Lee Ona (Hoffman) Melson. Served in the U.S. Army in WWII. Graduate of University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Former teacher at Lincoln Southeast and store manager with Montgomery Ward. Member: Eastridge Presbyterian Church, Hickman Lodge 256, A.F. & A.M., Scottish Rite, Sesostris Shrine, American Legion Post 3, V.F.W. Post 131, Starcraft Chapter 307, O.E.S.
Survived by daughters, Gayle (Larry) LaMaster, Blue Springs, Mo., Lynn Melson, Lincoln; grandchildren, Christina, Kimberly, Miranda and Caroline; five great grandchildren. Preceded in death by wife, Alma and parents.
Funeral Service: 1 pm Saturday (1-12) Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ St. with The Rev. Tim Doty officiating of First Presbyterian Church in Middletown, Ohio.
Visitation one hour prior to service time.
