I was a caretaker at the facility she recently stayed at. I remember welcoming her on her first day and sat on the couch with her and shared our life stories with each other. Every day after that I’d stop in and just talk with her about her day and help her lay out clothes for future appointments. During her hard times I’d hold her hand and take deep breaths with her until she calmed down. She never forgot to tell me how much she loved me and appreciated me and told me I’m always welcome in her room. She told me when she leaves she’d appreciate me stopping by her new home and saying hi whenever I could. Forever grateful of every interaction I had with her. Will always remember her bubbly self. We love you so much!

Dear Judy, Carolyn, Carrie and Ann, I am so sorry for your loss. It has been many years since we have spoken. I had tried to reach Betsy and Carrie when I learned of Jeff’s passing but with no success. She has been on my mind a lot lately and I just heard about her passing from a friend in Nebraska that saw it in the paper. I really wish I could have met up with her to talk to her again. I haven’t seen her since my dad’s funeral in 1984. She was always good to me. Someone else wrote about what a good story teller she was and that is certainly true! We spent many hours together and she always had a good story and a great laugh! I have nothing but fond memories of the time Betsy and the boys were part of my family. I know she will be sorely missed.

I met Betsy when I was 12. My family was in Lincoln the summer of 1985 visiting relatives. She was a dear friend of my Mother’s and I liked her right away. Every time we visited Lincoln we would see Betsy. No one could tell a story like her. She was funny, kind, and had an amazing memory! I miss her already but know that she is reunited with her boys and now at peace.

I had the pleasure of taking care of Betsy just a short time at the facility where she was rehabbing. Betsy and I hit it off right away and she told me something that is embedded in my head, she told me “there is a special place in heaven for people like you”, something I will never forget. What a wonderful lady Betsy was and I am blessed to have met her.

I met this delightful soul just two days before she passed. I had the honor of helping her tr her nails at the assisted living community she had just recently been staying in. What an absolute joy this dear soul was in the 40 minutes I sat in her presence and offered her a hand with her nails. To all of you who knows her well: carry her cheerful nature in your hearts. I have hope that God is delighted with her presence with Him at this very moment.

I am so thankful to have been able to spend the time I was given getting to know Betsy. She was one of those people you just instantly get along with, and was so easy to talk to. I will treasure all of the great memories and fun she and I had, and all of the wisdom she passed along to me.
