Audrey Joyce “AJ” Johnson, 95, of Lincoln passed away March 29, 2022. Born February 19, 1927, in Goehner, NE to Chas and Leona (Gembler) Tyrrell.

Family members include her daughter Cheryl Moncure, Lincoln; sons Lonnie (Denise) Johnson, Greenwood, and Donnie (Mary Alice) Johnson, Waverly; grandchildren Erin Moncure (husband Mark Palermo), Megan Moncure (partner Allen Dahm), Kelsea (Jayme) Pavel, and Cody Johnson; grand son-in-law Gary Fehr; great-grandchildren Avery, Quinn, Camila, and Eloise Pavel; sister Lois Fahleson; brother Richard (Jo) Tyrrell, all of Waverly; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Wayne, granddaughter Shannon Moncure, brother and sister-in-law Roger and Nancy Tyrrell, and brother-in-law William Fahleson.

Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Monday (4-4-22) First United Methodist Church, 14410 Folkestone, Waverly, NE. Burial in the Rosehill Cemetery, Waverly.

Visitation will be Sunday (4-3-22) at the Roper and Sons Waverly Chapel, 10851 N. 148th Street from 4-6 pm.

After my mother Shirley Wilkinson, could no longer drive Audrey would always check with mom or myself to see if she had a ride to the women’s Circle… so caring.. when I told mom Audrey had passed had a sadness I hadn’t seen for a while.. but then she smiled and spoke about how kind Audrey was to her…. I missed the visitation… I thought it was 5 to 7…. Sad that I missed it..
