Arthur “Art” G. Schmidt

September 13, 1969 - November 23, 2022

Arthur “Art” G. Schmidt, IV, 53, of Lincoln, passed away on November 23, 2022. He was born on September 13, 1969 in Belleville, IL to Arthur G. Schmidt, III and Judith A. (Flamuth).

After graduating from Belleville West High School in 1987, Art became a lab technician.

In 2012, Art moved to Lincoln, NE to be near Judy and Tina’s family.
Art was a creative. He was a designer, builder, and tinkerer. He enjoyed being outdoors and was an RC car enthusiast.

Art was preceded in death by his father Arthur G. Schmidt III. He is survived by his mother, Judy Schmidt; sister, Tina (Rick) Reeble; brother, Eric Schmidt; niece, Chloe Reeble, and nephews, Zachary Reeble, and Rory Reeble.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Dimensions Education Programs (7700 ‘A’ St., Lincoln, NE 68510), a program Art admired and supported.

A private family memorial service will be held.

Judy, Tina and Eric – I sure am sorry to hear this news. Please accept our condolences. I haven’t seen Art or heard from him in probably 25 years – but that doesn’t change the fact that we sure had a heck of a lot of fun growing up together. We were thick as thieves, from kindergarten on. So many great memories; and your family was always a part of that, I had a lot of great times at #10 Lindenwood Dr. over the years.
