Andy was a fantastic colleague when we taught Driver’s Ed at Northeast together. I enjoyed ever minute we were together in the classroom. He had so many funny stories to tell along with many things in common that we talked about. It definitely saddened me to see his name in the paper. My prayers and condolences to the family and especially to Lu for the loss of a wonderful husband and father.

July 13, 2022 I was saddened to learn of the passing of Coach Andy Loehr. Coach Loehr was obviously a successful football coach. His record speaks for itself. I, along with hundreds of other kids, were fortunate to play on his teams. However, the last time I spoke with Coach Loehr, a number of years ago, we didn’t talk football. Instead we fondly remembered and chatted about the preseason get together that each year Coach and Mrs. Loehr would host at their house. They would have the entire team over (that’s 30 plus hungry kids) for a cookout. It was a great time. Lots of camaraderie, good laughs and togetherness. That last talk with Coach, plus those preseason cookouts are a special memory for me. My condolences to the Loehr family.

I grew up knowing Coach Loehr through my father, who taught and coached at Lincoln High with him. He was a great person and a great coach. Condolences to the family.

Coach Loehr made an appearance at my dad’s funeral in 2020 just to reconnect with my brother. It had been years since he had coached my brother at McCook during the winning 1960 season. They recognized each other immediately. Coach Loehr meant a lot to my brother. I will always remember how special he made all of us feel.

Sincere condolences to Mr. Loehr’s Family. Was the best driver’s Ed teacher. My Dad let us drive early in life, so I really didn’t need driver’s Ed, took it to get discount on insurance. Mr. Loehr would bring papers to grade while I was driving, he knew he didn’t have to watch me.🙂🙂🙂 But then when the other student drove, he would put the papers away and get ready to put the brakes on. Lol. God rest your soul Mr. Loehr.
