Albert Henry Francke

May 16, 1943 - December 2, 2024

Albert Henry Francke, 81, of Walton passed away on December 2, 2024, in Lincoln. Born May 16, 1943, in Lincoln, NE to Albert and Alene (Finke) Francke.

Albert was baptized (1943) and confirmed (1957) at Trinity Lutheran Church. He went to Park Elementary School in the morning and Prescott Elementary in Lincoln in the afternoon. He graduated from Walton High School in May 1961 where he played on the basketball team. He enjoyed shooting hoops with his cousin. Following high school he attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Albert served on the Walton/Eagle Coop Board and a Trustee at Trinity Lutheran Church. His father was a wheat farmer and Albert worked with his dad on the farm. Albert was a lifetime farmer at Walton, NE.
Albert had a great sense of humor and enjoyed telling jokes. He spent Sunday dinners, birthdays and holidays with the Antionette Keim family. The past few years he lived at The Cove House in Lincoln.
He is survived by numerous cousins, friends, neighbors and relatives.
Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Roper and Sons Midtown Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ St.
Funeral service: 11:00 am Friday, December 6, 2024, Trinity Lutheran Church, 5315 S. 162nd St., Walton, NE.
Memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall fund or Eagle Fire & Rescue.
