Donna Lea Hunt

After high school graduation she attended UNL and graduated with an Elementary Education degree. During her time at UNL she met the love of life Wayne L. Hunt and were married after graduation. Donna and Wayne were in separable for the next 58 years while raising family and living in 9 different states and living in Nebraska 4 different times during her life. She enjoyed teaching pre-school and elementary students. Her next passion was to be home with her 2 sons and raise them. Later in her life she enjoyed traveling and spending time at Lake Okoboji where she played tennis, golf, sailing and boating with family. Family and friends were very important to her. During her last 18 years she enjoyed her time at Eastmont meeting new friends and doing all the great activities. She always enjoyed going to dinner with friends.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents, sister MaryAnn (Vince) Bertsche and Wayne her beloved husband of 58 years.

Survived by her 2 sons; Jeff W. (Vicki), Greg L. (Tammy), 6 grandchildren; Tyler J. (Ashley Morrison) Hunt, Courtney (Cody) Harbour, Ryan Hunt, Sonya Hunt, Kevin (Madison) Hunt, Dr. Brian (Allen) Hunt and 6 great grandchildren. Her close friend Doug Alford and family.

In lieu of flowers donations can be American Lung Cancer Society, empowering a brighter tomorrow for all.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m., at the Eastmont Towers on April 9, 2025.
