Bonnie’s life was defined by unwavering dedication and abundant love for her family. She spent many years as a homemaker and worked several years at Bryan Hospital in Food Services. Her favorite role was as a mother and grandmother. Bonnie remained steadfast in her dedication to Christ, which sustained her throughout her life. She was a past member of the Eagle and Prairie Home United Methodist Churches. Until her dementia limited her abilities, she actively served in the various churches that she was a part of. Bonnie loved baking, singing, gardening, square dancing and spending time with her family and friends as well as taking care of many animals. Bonnie was a nurturing figure not only to her immediate family but to all who knew her. She ensured that everyone around her felt loved and cared for.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, children, Kim, Keith and Kenneth; brothers Bill and Lynn Hatcher. She is survived by her son, Dave (Cheri) of rural Alvo, daughter Cherie Crist (Greg Mueller), Eagle; grandchildren, Dylan, Garett, Thomas, Missy, Madi, Levi, Gianna, Asher, Liam, Jack, and Luke; sister Judy Irons of Lincoln; friends and extended family, all of whom were touched by her kindness and grace.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Friday (6/28) Roper and Sons Midtown Chapel Funeral Home, 4300 ‘O’ Street, Lincoln, NE; Pastor Dan Safarik officiating.
Visitation: 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday (6/27) with family present during this time at the funeral home.
Burial in Rosewood Cemetery, Palmyra, NE. Memorials may be given to the family for a future designation.
Bonnie’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her legacy of love, kindness, strength and faith will continue to inspire and guide us all.
