Matthew L. Jones, 70, Lincoln, passed away March 30, 2019. Born July 30, 1948 in Wichita, KS to Frank W. and Norine P. (Atkins) Jones. U. S. Army veteran. Ret. Professor of Multicultural Studies at University of Nebraska Lincoln.
Matthew was a member of the V.F.W. #7722, DAV, AM Vets Post #4, MOC Pup Tent 4, and Honor Guard Post #131
Family members include his wife Beth; children Ora, Annie and Patrick, Arizona; 4 grandchildren; sister Nellie Garcia, nephew Nathan Garcia, Las Vegas, NV; half-sister Frances Ohletoint, Anadarko, OK; and several other nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents.
Celebration of life service will be 7:00 p.m. Wednesday (4-3-19) Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street. Burial in the Otoe Missouri Cemetery, Red Rock, OK.
