Charlotte Elisabeth Sheldon Cervantes Fifer, 83, of Lincoln passed away in her childhood home on March 28, 2019.
Char was a happy member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church and a longtime retiree of State Farm Insurance, accounting dept.
Char loved to travel. She had been to Europe, all across the U.S. with her husband Dick, and several trips and cruises with her family. She loved her bunco group, playing cards and going to the casino. She enjoyed reading, eating Mexican food and visiting with everyone. Most of all she was devoted to her family. She never missed an opportunity to spend time with her immediate family and most of all her great granddaughter, Anna.
Char is survived by her daughter Julie Cervantes-Salomons (Michael), grandson Ben Salomons (Jenna) and her great granddaughter Anna Jo Salomons, brother Mike Sheldon and sister Jan Ryan, sister-in-law Jacqueline (Dick) Sheldon, brother-in-law Bob (Pat) Delisi and numerous nieces and nephews. Char was preceded in death by her husband Richard Fifer, parents Franklin and Pauline Sheldon and siblings Marvin, Dick, Maxine, Ruby, Pat, and Alice.
Services will be at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church on Wednesday, April 3 at 10:30 a.m., luncheon to follow. Burial at Yankee Hill Cemetery.
