Kathy Nielsen, 53, of Lincoln, NE, passed away Tuesday June 2, 2015 at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle where she was undergoing treatment for Stage 4 Lymphoma and Graft Vs Host Disease.
Kathy was a devoted mother and hero to so many. Her strength, positivity and courage were an inspiration to everyone she met. She is survived by her four children, Ryan, Sierra, Colton and Paige.
A Celebration of Kathy’s Life will be held at 4:00 pm, Friday, June 12th, at First Evangelical Free Church (3280 S 84th St, Lincoln, NE 68506) with a celebration following the service at 6pm at the Nielsen residence.
There will be a ‘Letters to Kathy’ box at both the service & reception for family and friends to leave personal letters to Kathy for her children to keep as a remembrance of their loving mother. Please also bring your favorite photo with Kathy.
