James Joseph O’Malley IV, 30, of Ceresco, passed away August 7, 2016. Born June 7, 1986 in Lincoln, NE to James III and Melaine (Smack) O’Malley. James proudly served his country and was a purple heart combat wounded veteran of the United States Army National Guard. He served two tours in Iraq from December 2006 to December 2007 with the 755th Chemical Company and again from August 2010 to June 2011 with the 1167th Brigade Support Company. James was baptized and confirmed at Ceresco Covenant Church. Attended Immanuel Lutheran Church in Ceresco. Member of the Ceresco American Legion Post 244. James loved to golf, drive around in his truck on gravel roads listening to music, and dancing around the house with his wife and children singing along with every song. He married Kindra Kaiser November 27th 2006, in Seneca, KS with just enough time to get back to Lincoln to catch a plane for Mississippi to deploy. James will be remembered for his love of life, his spontaneity, big smile and huge heart, always giving his last dollar to someone who he felt needed it more.
Family members include his wife, Kindra; daughters, Lydia and Elyza O’Malley, his dog Scout; parents, Melaine and Curt Miller, Ceresco; James O’Malley III, Lincoln; brothers, Sean and Emily O’Malley, Lincoln, Patrick O’Malley, Matthew Dill and Mitchell Miller, all of Ceresco, Curtis Miller, Jr., Omaha; grandparents, Larry and Cindy Smack, Lincoln, Richard and Donna Herman, Carleton and Terry and Veta Miller, Ceresco; parents-in-law, Myron and Lisa Kaiser; brothers-in-law, Justin Kaiser, Blaine and Jessica Kaiser.
Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m. Friday (8-12-16) Immanuel Lutheran Church, 216 Main Street, Ceresco, NE with Pastor John Sievers officiating. Burial in Grace Lutheran Cemetery, Swedeburg, NE.
