Jean Evans, 88, of Pleasant Dale, passed away January 21, 2016. Born April 14, 1927 in Aurora, NE to Rollie and Blanche Mae (Squier) Woodruff. Jean had worked for Lincoln Health Foods. She was a member of Saint Paul United Methodist Church and also attended Grace Missionary Church in Milford, NE. She was a Tabitha Meals On Wheels volunteer.
Family members include her daughters, Peggy (Don) Fosbender, and Nancy (Bruce) Nevius, Pleasant Dale; grandchildren, Julie Fosbender (Jared) Shald, Andy Nevius, Kristina Nevius (Tony) Arlt, Laura Nevius (Simon) Woodrup; great-grandchildren, Lacey and Josie Arlt. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald; brother and sister-in-law, Rollie and Mary Ann Woodruff, Jr.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday (1-25-16) Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in York, NE at 4:00 p.m. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
Memorials may be given to Tabitha Hospice or Meals On Wheels.
