Karen Sue Story, 57, Lincoln, died Saturday (12-10-11) passed away at the young age of 57 after suffering an unexpected asthma attack. Born (1-16-54) in Lincoln, Nebraska to Bill and Donna (Whitfield) Clore. Co-owner, Artglass Unlimited.
Karen graduated from Lincoln High School in 1972. She enjoyed her long time business and passion as a stained glass artist in which she co-owned Art Glass unlimited with great friend Judy Stanczyk.
Karen was at her happiest while spending time with family, best friend Mitch, friends, beloved cats and helping those in need. She especially adored her grandchildren Kaden and Calissa with all of her heart and they were the light of her life.
Karen loved to travel and was an avid Cowboys fan. She was involved in several community projects, and an essential member of the non profit group Forever Angels.
Though her time here was cut short, her memory will live on forever. We love you and miss you.
Family members include her son: Brian Story, Denver, CO; daughters, Staci Story and friend Bam Rice, Jaime and husband Nathan Sanks, all of Lincoln; grandchildren and the light of her life: Kaden and Calissa Sanks; father: Bill Clore, Lincoln; sister: Nancy Beardslee, Houston, TX; best friend and companion: Mike “Mitch” Mitchell, Bill Story, Jr., friend and business partner: Judy Stanczyk, all of Lincoln and her 3 beloved cats. Preceded in death by her mother Donna.
Memorial Service: 1:00 p.m. Tuesday (12-13-11) Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street. Pastor Kerry O”Bryant, officiating with a reception to follow.
Memorials to be distributed between the Humane Society and All Ages School in Negril Jamaica.
No Visitation/Cremation.
