William G. Van Cleave, 96, of Lincoln, died Sunday, September 9, 2012. Born September 1, 1916 in Marlin, Texas to William G., Sr. and Daisy (Dotson) Van Cleave. Best known as owner of Van Cleave Tire Company in various states. U. S. Navy WWII Veteran.
Family members include sons: William C. (Patricia) Van Cleave, Houston, TX, Michael C.D. (Erin) Van Cleave, Firth, NE; daughter: Elizabeth Marie Van Cleave, Houston, TX; grandchildren: William C. Van Cleave, Jr., Axle Nathan Van Cleave, Frederick A. Kenney II, Damondtré A. Kenney, Patrick A. Kenney, all of Houston, TX, Gable W.G. Van Cleave, Dane W. Van Cleave, Elise E. Van Cleave and Petra C. Van Cleave, all of Firth, NE; Shyanna Van Cleave, Waco, TX. Preceded in death by son Patrick G. Van Cleave.
Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Christ’s Place Church, 1111 Old Cheney Rd. Pastor Nathan Kroll officiating. Interment will be in Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, KS.

Visitation: 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday with family greeting 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Roper and Sons, 4300 ‘O’ Street and one hour prior to service time at the church.
