November 22, 1957 - February 28, 2010

John T. McGreer IV, 52, Lincoln, died Sunday (2-28-10). Born (11-22-57) in Omaha, Nebraska to John T. and Marilyn (Brewster) McGreer. General Contractor, Home Building and Remodeling. MBA and undergrad degrees in English from UNL. Married his high school sweetheart. Eagle Scout. Avid music lover, loved to hunt, fish and followed NASCAR. Excellent carpenter. Generous kind and loving man.

Family members include wife: Connie Redding McGreer; daughters: Emily McGreer and fiancé Brian Davison, Plattsmouth, Allison McGreer and significant other Joel Leibel, Katie McGreer and fiancé Joseph Brooks, all of Lincoln; parents: John and Marilyn McGreer Lincoln; parents-in-law: Gene and Pat Redding of Lincoln; sisters, brothers-in-law: Jane and John Sinovic, Omaha, Julie and Michael Sullivan, Lincoln, Mary and Craig Schmidt, Kingsport, TN; granddaughter: Johanna Leibel; nieces, nephews: Sarah and Elisa Sinovi; Michael IV, Tony, Patrick, Robert, Mayme, John Sullivan; Jacob and Gracie Schmidt, and many more nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday (3-6-10) Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street.

Memorials in lieu of flowers to the American Diabetes Association, P. O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.

Visitation: 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Friday with family greeting friends from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., funeral home.
