Christy L. Killingsworth, 64, of Lincoln, NE, passed away on January 29, 2025, in Nassau, Bahamas. She was born on December 25, 1960, in Lexington, MO, to John R. and E. Elaine (Welch) Young.
Christy’s happiest moments were spent at the cabin, where she found peace by the water, joy in taking laps on the pontoon, excitement in four-wheeler rides with Kim, and pride in growing her beautiful berm. Above all, family was the heart of her world. No matter the time or place, as long as they were together, Christy was filled with joy. She also cherished the friendships that brought laughter and adventure into her life. Whether it was an HR Girls’ weekend, a Soccer Moms’ gathering, or time spent with Kathy, she loved bringing people together. Family and friends were her greatest treasures.
Christy had a 40-year career as a Human Resources professional. She recently retired from PCE, Inc. to start a new chapter in life. That new chapter involved the new lights of her life, her grandchildren. Christy enjoyed being a grandma and
adored her three grandchildren. After having three boys, Christy finally got the (grand) daughter to buy dresses and bows for and play teatime.
Before she passed, Christy got to enjoy one last Christmas with family, her favorite holiday. Being a Christmas baby, Christy loved the traditions of Christmas, the lights, the decorations, Santa Clause, and, above all, family time.
Christy is survived by her husband Kim; sons Christopher (Laura), Michael (Akshjot), and Jonathan Killingsworth; grandchildren Madelyn, Elliott, and Isabelle Killingsworth; and sisters Sheri (Bob) Michaud, Debbie (Doug) Everett, and Cindy Hagen.

Christy was an amazing Mom and Wife to her beautiful family. I lived across the street from the Killingsworth family for a few years and was blessed to see such an incredibly strong family thrive day after day. She definitely was the glue that kept them together – she was a GREAT MOM. I send my love and deepest sympathies to Kim, Christopher, Michael & Jonathan & their families.

Praying for the Killingsworth family on the passing of Christy. We worked together for many years at Metromail and she was always so welcoming when the Atlanta crew showed up. She will be missed.

Kim and family, So sorry to hear of Christy’s passing. I have many fond memories of working with her at PCE for over 13 years. We started working for PCE within 3 months of one another and I was the first one she hired. She had a passion for her co-workers and any employees she had contact with. She loved to share pictures of her boys and her grandkids. She beamed with joy and delight whenever talking about them. I remember how she looked forward to the trips to the lake and was so delighted when others could join them. Praying for you in the days and weeks ahead. Sending hugs to you all from Tucson, Arizona.

My sympathy to The Killingsworth Family. Christy was a true delight!! I knew her through soccer and treasure that time of cheering for the Lazers! Her memory is a treasure and she will be missed by so many.
