Connie dedicated many years to various roles, including working at State Farm Insurance, serving as a dedicated homemaker, and providing private housekeeping services for families in Lincoln for over two decades. Her personal interests included baking, cooking, gardening, antique collecting, and storytelling. She was a steadfast supporter at her children’s and grandchildren’s events. Her favorite places to be were helping Paul and Arend on the farm, or cheering her grandchildren on in the bleachers at their games.
Connie’s faith played a significant role in her life. She was baptized and made her Profession of Faith at Firth Reformed Church, and was a devoted member of Pella Reformed Church. She was a living example of deep faith, as she loved God and her family unconditionally and was a friend to everyone she met.
