Bruce served in the U. S. Army National Guard. He was an agronomist and was the farm manager for the UNL Campus in Havelock.
Bruce was a member of the Southwood Lutheran Church, Camp Creek Threshers, and Antique Tractor Association. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, coffee with his buddies, and driving and working on tractors. He never knew a stranger.
Family members include his wife Joanne; daughter Amy K. Meyer; grandchildren Caden, Kiaya, Auric, and Avy; step-sons Randy (Shelley) Stoppel, Terry (Lisa) Stoppel, and Tim (Cindy) Stoppel; step-grandchildren Austin (Morgan), Peyton, Tyson, Clayton, Weston, Logan, Stratton, and Korrine. Preceded in death by his parents and brothers Roe and Neal.
Funeral service: 10:00 am Saturday, July 27, 2024, Roper and Sons South Lincoln Chapel, 3950 Hohensee Drive. Burial in Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation one hour prior to service time.
