After graduating from Waverly High School in 2003, he attended Southeast Community College with a culinary focus. After managing Granite City, he went on to manage Longwells and then Yowie’s restaurants. He changed his career to the construction field working two years at Gana as a Lowboy Division Manager. At the time of his death, he was a District Sales Manager at Vermeer High Plains.
Growing up Kyle learned from his dad so many things about the outdoors which resulted in his love of hunting, fishing, and camping. He gained his love of food from his mom, through the countless hours in the kitchen experimenting with recipes, which led him to his culinary career. His green thumb was inherited from his Grandma Reinsch which was evident in his love of gardening and beautiful fruit trees. He was a self-taught accomplished woodworker making beautiful pieces for family and friends. Kyle’s favorite holiday was the 4th of July where he proudly drove his Grampa Fessler’s 1968 Ford pickup in the Waverly Parade.
Kyle is survived by his parents, Mary and Jim Fessler, his brother Curtis and his wife Helen, sister Krystal and her husband Darren Betts and was the favorite uncle of his two nieces and four nephews. He will also be sorely missed by his best companions, his four-legged family Jack and Shelby.
Kyle’s strong family ties and deep faith were truly instilled from his loving parents. His family was extended through his many friends who will miss his generous heart and his always welcoming smile.
