I knew Aunt Mallie through my husband, Rob Mulkey, and recall family pictures on the steps of Gladys Silvey’s home in Macon Mississippi, visits at the home of Jim and Imogene Mulkey, and coming to the Silvey Family Reunion in Indiana. She was gracious and kind and energetic and knew so much about God’s word! She seemed capable in so many ways, practical things and having a debate or discussion and growing a garden! She also modeled a loving relationship with her husband! I enjoyed know her!

I remember visiting my Aunt Mallie’s home in Pennsylvania when I was a child and going out into the garden to “pick” vegetables (she put us to work…). I fondly remember “picking” sweet peas…not sure we ever brought in a harvest because we ended up eating all of them!!! I also love that she was a Godly servant. She was a true minister not only as a nurse but as a missionary and serving the church for so many years. I am glad that she is now in her Eternal home with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and reunited with family that are already there – especially her daughter Ruth.
