So sorry to hear of Eileen’s passing. She was such a special lady. Always enjoyed working with her at church activities.

I remember being a little girl, sitting on Grandma’s lap, having the Dick and Jane books in front of us learning to read. Even though she wasn’t teaching in a classroom anymore, she valued education and teaching her grandchildren. I also remember sitting in her lap learning embroidery. I have forgotten much of it now, but have recently taken it up as a hobby. I’ll truly miss her, but I’m so happy she’s with Grandpa again.

I always enjoyed visiting with Eileen in her lovely home. She always had interesting stories to tell. Sunnyside was where my mom also went to school and since she was born in 1931 I think she had Eileen as a teacher. I was most likely told, but I forgot. I was happy to share a flower arrangement with Eileen last year.
