Daniel Leigh Cuda

April 7, 1945 - October 2, 2022

Daniel Leigh Cuda, 77, of Lincoln passed away on October 2, 2022. Born April 7, 1945 in Stromsburg, NE to William and ClaraBelle (Osborn) Cuda.

Dan graduated from Benedict High School and UNL. Dan & Jeanne Bridgman were married in September of 1965 and Dan was drafted into the army in October 1965. They lived in Germany while he served his country. Three children became a part of their family. Dan was a member of the Lincoln Realtors for 53 years, remodeling, building, Selling and appraising Real Estate.

Dan received a kidney transplant 29 years ago and often spoke for organ donations.

His Mission work with Westminster church included trips to Germany, Latvia and a number of natural disasters. He was active in Lincoln West Optimists & the Shrine and He always looked forward to fishing with the guys in Canada

Family members include; wife, Jeanne Cuda; children, Jason (Kristina) Cuda and Dawn Nelson; grandchildren, Mersadies Knecht, Angie Cuda, Tisha Tobin, Britany Wallace, Bradley Knecht, and Quentin Nelson; sister, Alice Bjerrum; sister-in-law, Janet Domeier; 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by son Bradley Cuda; brothers-in-law Bud Bjerrum and LeAlen Domeier.

Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday October 4, 2022 at Roper and Sons Midtown Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ St. Lincoln, NE

The Celebration of life will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday October 5, 2022 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2110 Sheridan Blvd, Lincoln, NE, with inurnment taking place at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the family for future designation

Jeanne and family, so sorry to hearing of Dan’s passing. I worked with Dan and staff from Freedom Marketing for many years on numerous City of Lincoln infrastructure projects. I thoroughly enjoyed working with him and his staff and he will be missed.

Sorry to read of the passing of my BHS Class of ’63 classmate. He and I were in the group of four who went through all 12 years together (there was no kindergarten back then.) We were the first four in the alphabetical roll call, “Baker, Cross, Cuda, Dickson.” Condolences to Jeanne and all the family.
