He was married to his best friend for 66 years, raised three children, found joy in his eight grandkids and delight in his nine greats. He loved his family, his country, a cold Dr. Pepper and a good game of four-point pitch. He believed in God, a firm handshake, a well-timed punchline and paying yourself first. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy.
His legacy and love live forever in wife Arly, son Rick (Sue) Lange, daughters Cindy Lange-Kubick, Kim (Mike) Loeffler, grandchildren Justin (Valerie) Kubick, Anna Kubick, Joe (Kim) Kubick, Elizabeth (Matt) Maggio, James Lange, Katharine (Tom) Swanson, Sam Loeffler, Rachel (Josh) Haight, great-grandchildren Lily Haight, James, Elise, Esme, Ivy and Cora Kubick, James and Brooke Maggio and Henry Swanson. Survivors include nieces Linda (Jim) Gosey, Jeannie Evans and beloved cousins. Preceded in death by his parents, sister Darlene Nissen, nephew Alan Nissen, niece Deb Bartlett and nephew-in-law Dave Evans.
A visitation with family will be held Wednesday, June 1st from 4-6 p.m. at Roper and Sons Midtown Chapel, 43rd and ‘O’ street.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 2nd at 11 a.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 33rd and J Streets.
