Sharon grew up on the family farm along the Medicine Creek southeast of Curtis, Nebraska. She was part of the first graduating class of Medicine Valley High School in 1969. She graduated from Grand Island School of Business in 1970.
On June 7, 1970, Sharon married her best friend and love of her life, David Glenn Nicklas in Curtis. They were blessed with two children, Brian and DeAnn, and six grandchildren. Her heart’s desire was to be a wife, mom and grandma who faithfully modeled the love of Christ.
For over 42 years, Sharon provided in-home daycare where she loved and cared for over 100 children, joyfully serving the families that came into their home.
